granola cruncher

That's is what I USED to be called when I USED to be a nordic skier.  Okay, I was really only called that once - I was riding up the chair lift at Trollhaugen with Heather Keller, Emily Dubay, Carly Sjodin and Maddie, and some snowboarders chillin' on the hill below (in a way that only snowboarders can chill on a hill) yelled out "Hey Yoouu Guuuys" er, I mean "Hey Granooola Cruuunchers!"  Someone explain to me how you can call four lazy uphill skiers granola crunchers when they are taking the easy way up.  Please, I'd like to know how that makes sense.

Anyway...I am making some awesome granola tonight from Smitten Kitchen's blog.  This stuff is awesome.  I made it last month and gobbled it up.  It is a recipe for granola bars, but mine turned into regular old granola when it fell apart as I was cutting into it.  I am making this again tonight and loaded it up with all sorts of tasty dried fruit.  Apricots, craisins, cherries and mangos.  I've never seen dried mangos before tonight, but thought I'd give them a try.  OH.MY.LORDY.  Dried mangos are awesome!  You should try them if you haven't already.

And that was the point of this entire post.  I guess I could have just written, "Hey you four people who read this lame account of our life in Iowa - have you tried dried mangos?  No?  You should, they rock."
