a man a plan and one flat tire

Nic (a man) made wonderful plans for us last weekend to go camping (a plan). We ended up at Shimek State Forest. It was our first time camping for the season and we had a great time! After firing up a very old Coleman grill (seriously, my family used this when we went camping years ago!) and cooking up a delicious dinner, we were able to relax by the fire (with a bottle of wine of course!)

Sunday we planned to hike around the forest, but discovered the trails had not been mowed for quite some time. So we decided to head up to Lacey-Keosauqua State Park. Well, on the way we got a flat tire (and one flat tire).

Thank goodness Nic knows what he's doing! Seriously, within 7 minutes he had the spare on and we were back on our way. (I would have sat out in the middle of no where all day waiting for AAA to show up!) We got in an awesome hike, and then it was back home to work on the bathroom!
