Puppies!

So we are going to get a puppie. That's what we are supposed to do right? You get married, buy a house, get a dog and then have 2.4 kids. So the question is, what kind of dog do we get? Reccomendations are welcome! Keep in mind that it 'must' be a hunting dog that loves cats, and someday...2.4 kids.
