teaser {fargo}

It has been a whirlwind of a weekend folks! Nic and I just pulled into Iowa a few hours ago and are beat from our weekend in Fargo and Battle Lake. Our early morning wake up call is creeping us on us waiting for us to get back to the real world...ugh! I don't want this weekend to be over.

I know a lot of you are itching for my Fargo Marathon race recap. It is coming, I promise.  However it is a post that deserves to be well thought out and detailed - this race is one that I do not want to forget.

I will tell you three things:

1 - I had amazing support from my wonderful husband and two best friends. Their support kept me super motivated.

I like to dance with my arms while I run...I promise, this is not a photo of super crappy running form.

2 - Like, super motivated.

That is me not ascending to Heaven on the supposed last day of the world no matter how high I tried to get on my own...maybe my shirt had something to do with it...

3 - I really did pour all of my heart into this race. all heart, all fargo. I love that.

race photos

People have mixed feelings about race photos. Receiving that email that notifies you that your "Des Moines Marathon photos are now online" can be a bit nerve racking. As you click the link and wait for your images to load you are left wondering (for a few seconds at least); I hope my bib number was clearly visible so there are some photos of me. That one photographer at mile 12 - he wasn't an official photographer, was he? - I was practically crawling then! Oh my gosh, it was quite chilly that day... At least they had a photographer at mile 2, I must have still looked good at that point, right?

When I clicked on my link to see my photos, I was first surprised at the number of shots they got of me - 20 total! Surely there must be a few good ones in the mix.

The just okay BUT -  probably wouldn't print photos...

This is a classic "Kier" race photo!
What do you think? Worth it? One 5x7 is $15!
