finding {happiness} challenge: day 8

I am not sure how much longer we are going to do this. Often times we are getting ready for bed and I ask Nic if he took his photo for the day. Inevitably, he hasn't, nor have I, and we hurry around looking for something. Not that these things don't make us happy, but it is kind of besides the point.

Anyway...





Kier - Group hugs with Maia. Although Maia is afraid of the iPhone and ran away when I tried to snap the photo. So instead, even though the pets drive me insane, they do offer up quite a bit of amusement each and every day.



Nic - pitting at least 4 pounds of cherries with Kier for the salsa contest tomorrow.

Kier - getting home from a late meeting and doing what I really love.



Nic - Late night bike ride to the grocery store for Kier's baking essentials and my FAVORITE snack...

{no post from yesterday because I was working all day - although there was a lot to be happy about}

Kier - creating a stunning "cheesecake" for my friend, but getting to blow the candles out in celebration of my 29th year, and then 4 adults + 1 kid devouring it forkful by delicious forkful until the last crumb was gone.

Nic - Celebrating Kier's 29th BDay!

Kier - hanging out with amazing friends and their awesome kids. The noise during and then the silence after they go home.



Nic - Answering the door to find a friendly smile and free produce!

Kier - finally baking vegan desserts, and some bread, for the Washington's farmers market - and selling everything!

I challenged Nic yesterday to find one thing each day that is positive, that he is grateful for, or that makes him happy. Because we could all use a little more happiness in our lives, right?

I decided to join him.

Here is what made us happy on Monday.



Kier - new books that I can't wait to dive in to. An edible landscaping book that will transform my front yard and a new planner that will organize the crazy life that we live.

Nic - Cyclocross bike...great on the road or the trail...great for the soul.
