Yesterday marked my three year anniversary working with the American Cancer Society as a full-time staff partner. Awesome, right?! Sure is! In the past three years, I have worked with hundreds of volunteers to raise nearly three quarters of a million dollars to help further the mission of ACS. By this time next year I should be able to say that I have helped to raise over one million dollars. Now that's a lot of money! But, more important than money, by working with my volunteers, I have been able to spread hope to hundreds of cancer patients and their families - assuring them that we are working on creating a world with more birthdays. Because a world with less cancer is a world with more birthdays.
I am pretty sure I have one of the best jobs that I could have asked for.
