plan my future

So someone needs to plan out my future for me, an amazing future.  I love my life here in Iowa, but I feel like I need something more.  Maybe a move back to Minnesota is in order.  Every time we leave Minn. after a weekend visit, Nic and I have a long discussion about how we have to move back, or just move way further away.  Being six hours from home - you are too close to decline making the trip for a holiday party or some other event, but far enough where it seriously sucks trying to fit everything in.  And by everything I mean just two or three things: visiting my family, visiting Nic's family, and IF we have enough time, getting together with friends.

If it's not a move back to Minnesota, or away from Iowa, maybe I need to look into going back to school.  But go back to school for what??  I love working in the non-profit sector, but do I want to do it my entire life (if your name is Denise and you are reading this, then YES! I want to be with ACS F.O.R.E.V.E.R!).  Maybe I should just become a doctor?  If you went to school  college with me, you know all that studying is just not my thing.  But that was then, right?  This is now.  Things are different.  My brain needs a good workout.

I can tell you one thing, a baby is not in my near future, so don't even suggest that!  (Although Nic just sent me an email about someone giving away free black lab puppies...so maybe he is thinking a baby of some sort is in our near future...)
