The other title for this blog could have been, Locked Up in Spain. Nic began his morning on the wrong side of the bathroom door...as he went to close and lock the door, the lock fell off in his hand locking him in the bathroom. :) He was able to get himself out with the help of GPa's pocket knife before we had to call in the forces to rescue him from what could have been a very dull day.
Another glorious morning of reading by the pool, getting some actual sun is how the rest of us began our day. We then headed into Old Town Marbella for an evening of exploring one of Spain's richest coastal towns.
It was fun to see the streets still decorated for Christmas.
Orange Square was one of our first stops. If you live in our little Iowa town, imagine our square lined with hundreds of orange trees. Awesome. We weren't sure if we were allowed to pick them, and despite ample begging from me, Nic would not pick one for me!
We found ourselves at the steps of a church and since Mom was with us, had to go in. This church is high tech! Candles that light up when you drop in some money and get this...
An automatic dispenser for holy water! Maddie tested it out...is that against any laws? Her hand did kind of start on fire when the water made contact with her skin...
Beautiful details though.
A fake jumping photo. With three full days left of this vacation, I will get Maddie to do at least one real jumping photo.
This is my 2nd favorite photo of us from this entire vacation...shows the true couple we are.
Jen - this one if for you! :)
Grandma and Grandpa - so cute!
Love.
I'm not sure that vacationing with the two of you is a good idea...I don't remember anything quite so exciting happening with this regularity on any of our family vacations.
ReplyDeleteYour 2nd favorite photo is an exemplary Kier "WTF" look. :)
