A few weeks before I left for Europe, my cousin decided to get crafty.
Okay, that is a lie. My cousin is a natural crafter and can turn some ordinary piece of whatever into something very chic.
And although I am not sure what prompted this (perhaps it had something due to do with the greatest website ever invented in 2011 - Pinterest??), she started making bags.
And she sent me one to test out to see what I thought and provide feedback.
So you can expect I was so very excited when I got this chic tote in the mail:
The bold colors and retro pattern grabbed me right away, and the ruffles added a little something something.
A removable flower is just icing on this chic cake.
And the size?? I've used this bag for many things, including lugging around my laptop, notebook, power cord and other things for work. Going to the grocery store and using it to carry home my finds, and just as a general use tote that always has room for just one more thing.
Check out how much stuff I was able to fit into it:
Two cookbooks, one text book (say what?!), a magazine and some dog treats. That's a lot of stuff, those cookbooks and text book (say what?!) are big.
All of the tote's contents compared to a standard cuppa joe
Angie was nice enough to think of Maia when she sent the tote and included some Tail Wagging Peanut Butter Treats.
I am pretty sure Maia enjoyed the treats...
Back to the totes. Angie has an Etsy shop with a lot of great items. And although Christmas is only eight days away, I am sure if you saw something on there, she would be able to ship it out ASAP so you would have it in time to put under your Christmas tree. Or perhaps you want to give a tote to someone for winter solstice. Or maybe Festivus? Hanukkah?
Whatever holiday you are celebrating with your family this year (or next), I would totally recommend something from Angie's Sew to Inspire
And just for you guys, Angie and I are going to give one of you lucky ducks a tote! Just leave a comment on this post letting me know what gift you are most excited to GIVE this year. Nic and I would much better give gifts than to receive them and we have some fun stuff up our sleeves this year to give to our family and friends. And since a lot of them read this, I can't really say in particular what I am most excited to give, but everything rocks (at least I think so!).
I'll pick a winner on Tuesday, December 20th at Noon (central time).
I am most excited to give a birthday board to Adam's grandparents. My friend found it on Pinterest (http://pinterest.com/pin/236931630365711099/) and we both made one - although altered them some. Instead of saying birthdays, mine says "The Meyerrose Family - est. 1951". And I've made circles for them, their kids(&spouses), grandkids(&spouses), and great-grandkids, with extras for them to fill in as grandkids get married and more great-grandkids come along. I'll post pictures of it on my blog once I give it to them. :-)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to give to give everyone their presents! It's especially fun seeing the look on everyones face when you know you got that right gift just for them!!!

I'm excited to give my four Granddaughters dresses that I made along with matching doll dresses.

Headed to Angie's Etsy site now! Cute bags!

I'm excited to give our grandparents - who aren't exactly internet savvy - a photo album with the highlights of our first 6 months in Colorado. Ever try to condense 6 months of exploring down to 20 pages!? Yeah...it's probably going to be a "happy New Years" gift!
ReplyDeletePS...adorable bag!
Super cute bags! I think I'm most excited to give my mom an antique cabinet I found at a vintage marketplace. It's very unique and I'm hoping she loves it!
ReplyDeleteI'm most excited to what Santa has brought my kids this year. They are at such fun ages to celebrate the Holidays with!
ReplyDeleteI'm most excited to give Kier her collection of gifts....I know that she'll make great use of them! And loved the bag and told kier so when she brought it to England - great fabric and tremendous quality!
ReplyDeleteI am most excited to give our awesome dice game presents at my mom's. We started doing that last year instead of buying gifts for each person. Makes the present exchange more fun and less costly. :)
ReplyDeleteI stinkin' LOOOOVE this bag! The flower and the ruffles..... be still my beating heart.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute bag! I'm most excited to give my mother in law the Keurig that my hubby and I got her...I'm pretty sure she knows she's getting it but she'll be SO excited anyway :)
ReplyDeleteBoo, I missed it! Lovely bag!
