Last Friday, I headed east to meet up with my good friend, Laura and her partner-in-crime, Sarah, for Junk Jubilee. Full disclosure, I only took the Friday off because Laura (who lives in Fargo) was going to be in my neck of the woods, generally speaking, and not really to hang out with a bunch of people crazy about junk.

I was in the good hands of the Midwest Junk crew though, and ended up having a blast (despite the slight crazed look in my eyes...).

Midwest Junk was there to promote their new blog and 2012 Junker's Guide to Minnesota and North Dakota, which you should all check out, and to scope out the latest and greatest junking trends. Despite being there to see what this junking thing was all about, I officially took on the role of Midwest Junk groupie, paparazzi and sales-woman extraordinaire.

I might have had a little fun too, digging through rows upon rows of old stuff.











I have an affinity for green dishes. Which so makes me my mother's daughter. I kick myself for not snatching these up the moment after I took this photo.



A big trend - old canvas seed bags. This adorable apron was made out of an old alfalfa bag. Someday, when I open up my cafe/bakery/natural foods store, we will wear cut aprons like this.





There were also these beautiful silver trays at quite a few booths. I need to get my hands on these as well for said future cafe/bakery/natural foods store.



Creepy, right? Baby heads were everywhere. Junkers are weird.

Clearly, I like all old things related to food.



I have no idea what these were originally used for, but someday this set up will be a kitchen island. Seriously, cool.



I also tend to veer towards animals created from old metal stuff. I took about 3948 photos of this guy, making me think I should have also shelled out some cash for it.
