pinterest fashion

Oh Pinterest.

I never knew I cared so much about the way I dressed until you came along.

Kier "pinning" to a style pin board? Surely it would be full of yoga pants, Nic's t-shirts, and running gear.

Instead, inspired by pins largely coming from Maddie, Leah, and Jeri - I have a new found interest (pinterest??!) in the clothes I desire to own.

Wanting only though to spend money on new running shoes, and race entry fees, these pins, were bound to forever be just that.

Until Sunday. When inspiration struck at JCrew Outlet.

Inspired by this pin...

I like it.

Happy Pinning!

fashionable finds

I have been hooked on buying dresses lately.

Perhaps I am searching for a style that I can take on my next vacation with me in an attempt to fit in. Or perhaps it is just because I am finally deciding that dresses are kind of cool.

Or warm.

Because when you find a dress that is essentially a pair of very stylish sweat pants for your entire body, you can't really pass it up.

Enter, this Lole "Calm" dress.

Lole Dress 2

Get going in this shawl collar dress, a versatile addition to any busy body’s wardrobe. Wear it with your favorite LolĂ« leggings or well-worn jeans for a sporty, yet feminine look. It not only looks good, it’s good for the planet in our soft and comfortable Organic Fleece, a luscious blend of organic cotton and elastane woven for the maximum UPF 50+ factor. A welt pocket on the left side gives it a fun finish.

I bought it in "bark."

Lole has some other pretty amazing stuff, and a great story. I can't wait to get my hands on some more items!

Similar in style, I also picked up Patagonia's Au Bateau dress on Sunday after the marathon.

Paired with a pair of black tights and and some boots, how can I not go wrong with this simple grey dress?

Patagonia Dress

Cute and soft, this sleeveless cowl-neck dress layers perfectly over jeans or leggings, or under sweaters.

Now I am just searching for reasons to sport these new dresses - perhaps a date night is in order.

Green dress or blue dress?  (please, I beg of you, ignore the positively glowing white legs!)

kier in a skirt...

Pretty sure I haven't worn a dress/skirt willingly since our wedding way over two years ago.  A few months ago I was forced to wear a dress when I attended a work function - because it was a gala.

Tomorrow, pretty sure I am being forced yet again to wear a skirt to another work function.  Only this time, it's not a gala, just a staff meeting.  What is forcing me to wear a skirt then??  All of my nice work pants/capris are way to big.  Not too big so I'll just wear a belt big.  Too big like I would look like a fool big.

And since I have to give two presentations with our division CEO and CFO in the room, I really shouldn't look like a fool.

So without further adieu - here is what I will be wearing tomorrow, expression and all.  :)

Er, does it look okay??  Anyone know where I can get a quick tan for those WHITE legs?

As a reward for having to wear this tomorrow, I am going to treat myself to a new outfit for Wednesday's meeting.
