1 - Kitchen floors. For the most part, they are done! We have a few pieces of trim to put up yet, but other than that...it looks amazing!
2 - Raised veggie garden. I built this almost by myself...who cares if Nic and Kurt had to re-do it after I was done with it! 1 done...two more to go.
3 - Doorbell. Even though this project was NOT on THE LIST, Kurt got us one so we don't have to have a wire hanging out of our wall anymore. We still have to install it.
4 - Bathroom. We have to break this one down a bit...
A. Nic and Kurt made a beautiful frame for our mirror. It's not up yet (we still have to paint) but it's ready to go.
i. Because we decided to make a frame for the mirror, we discovered that our bathroom light was not properly installed - so that was fixed.
B. Kurt removed the grout from our bathtub. It was done poorly and looked disgusting. He reapplied it, and it looks almost new. It is amazing what difference a little fix makes.
C. Barb literally spent HOURS cleaning the tub/shower on Saturday after Kurt fixed the caulk. Now, it looks like new!
D. Barb also filled the million nail holes that were scattered around the bathroom walls.
E. Nic and Kurt added a few trim pieces to our vanity giving it an instant face-lift.
5 - Everyone ate like a king thanks to me...! Seriously though, if your mother-in-law spends an entire day cleaning your bathroom and your father-in-law makes a thousand trips to the hardware store you'd better feed them well! Meals included:
Pasta with homemade carrot, roasted red pepper sauce
Cranberry walnut scones
Kier's breakfast bake and homemade maple caramel rolls
Homemade bagels with sausage and potatoes (ie - Nic's man breakfast)
Chicken and biscuits
Grilled cheese and homemade tomoato soup
Chocolate cake
I will make sure to post some pictures soon.
