Today I played farmer.
Not really.
But I did tour a handful of farms in our county!
A turkey farm.
A cattle farm.
A Century farm.
A grape farm.
A hog farm.
A sheep farm.
And then I went to the Y for a kick-butt workout, and I sweat farm.
It was not pretty.
I stank.
I am hoping to get some photos from the day and do a post in the next few days - it was all very interesting!
and why did you tour all theses farms? Are you trying to pick which farmer you want to be?
ReplyDeleteHow did you manage to tour all these farms? I think that would be really cool...I'm anxiously awaiting photos and more details!
ReplyDeleteUgh, farm smell. My roommate in college was a Animal and Poultry Sciences major so I am well versed in farm smell :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of farms in one day! Can't wait to see some photos. And what, no dairy farm?? ;-)
ReplyDeleteThis was part of a program I am enrolled in through our Chamber. We meet up once a month and tour various industries around the county.
ReplyDelete@Lisa - I would have LOVED to visit a dairy farm so I could have compared the experience with your blog! I will have to suggest to the committee that they do that next year!
@angie If I could be any of the farmers we visited, I would for sure be the sheep farmer! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived up north i tried to convience scott to get sheep. No budging!
