
For some reason, I knew what it was even before I opened the letter.
Jury Duty.
My time has come.
Awesome, right? Not that I have been waiting my entire life to be a on jury, but it isn't exactly the worse thing that could happen, and who knows, it might be kind of interesting.
Except for the fact that I kind of sort of have previous plans.
Plans that will not allow me to serve on a jury for 30% of the required service.
Plans that take me out of this country to further explore a few of my favorite places.

So here's hoping that a trip where my flight and accommodations have already been paid for will be good enough reason for a deferral of service.
Otherwise I have no idea what I will do, and I hear being in contempt of court is not that cool...
I have absolutely no experience in such things but you would think a prepaid trip would count for something...right!?

Oh no! I would hope that they would let you out of it. That would be unfair burden on you to be out all of that money.
