a thanksgiving side dish

I was cleaning out the fridge the other day and decided to use up the last of a head of red cabbage and a few brussels sprouts for lunch.

What resulted was a really simple, beautiful, side dish that could be served for your Thanksgiving dinner.

Simple Brussels Sprouts + Red Cabbage Thanksgiving Side Dish

In the mix::

  • 1 t coconut oil
  • 1 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 2 cups thinly sliced brussels sprouts (ends cuts off and outer leaves removed)
  • 2 cloves garlic, roughly chopped

Process::
Heat the coconut oil in a pan over medium heat. When hot, add the remaining ingredients and saute until golden brown, stirring frequently. Season with salt and pepper.
