One of my goals to accomplish during the 30 weeks before I turn 30 is to give away bread and baked goods each week to unsuspecting friends, acquaintances, co-workers and the like. Because whose day is not brightened by a sweet treat or a warm loaf of bread?
Vegan carrot cake, peanut butter chocolate pie were wrapped up and delivered to the directors of the Washington Chamber, Economic Development and Main Street.
A loaf of cinnamon raisin walnut bread went the the library.
And a boule of sourdough and a bit of sun dried tomato olive oil for dipping was dropped off for the employees at Backyard Candle to enjoy.
A handful of other breads and desserts have wound up on the doorstep of our close friends and I am sure they just waiting for the day for these deliveries to stop...
I love this idea - I'd be very happy if some of these goodies showed up at my job just because someone was feeling nice!
ReplyDeleteAnd the packaging is adorable! Simple but cute.
Thanks! I get such joy from giving away stuff like this. Super easy and simple, yet it really can make someone's day. Not to mention - it prevents me from eating all of my baking creations.
DeleteReason #1 why Kierstan needs to open a bakery: so she doesn't eat everything she bakes........
Love this idea! How thoughtful...a great way to pay it forward!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I don't know who loves it more, me or the lucky chosen one!
DeleteCute packaging! The bread looks just like what you would buy at a bakery! Way to Go!
